Putha Hiunchuli Expedition – Putha Hiunchuli is Located at an elevation of 7,246m, Mt. Putha Hiunchuli is one of most stunning mountain of 7,000+m peaks in Dhaulagiri region and often called as Dhaulagiri VII. Putha Hiunchuli Expedition was first made by Jimmy Roberts in 1954. Putha Hiunchuli climbing is technically challenging which special effort, good fitness level along with previous climbing experience. It is last 7,000m peaks marking the end of snow-capped range. To the west of Annapurna South and Ganesh Himal, a long ridge locates at the end which stands as stunning Mt. Putha Hiunchuli.

Putha Hiunchuli Expedition approaches to Northern route initiating from Juphal or from South starting form Beni Bazzar. Each trekking route has its own charm and beautiful in its own way. Putha Hiunchuli is usually climbed from North or North-East wall. En route landscapes covered are incredible as its formation is unique made of high cliff and deep canyon.

Putha Hiunchuli climbing is challenging but so technically difficult. The sloping snow-wall hardly troubles the climber so it is feasible for any avid climbers who are in good physical shape and have pervious alpine experience.

Putha Hiunchuli Expedition trip Itinerary;
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1340m) & transfer to hotel
Day 02: Preparation & briefing
Day 03: Flight Ktm – Nepalgunj stay overnight at hotel in Nepalganj.
Day 04: Flight to Dunai (Dolpo) meet with team and trek to Dunai (2140 meters)
Day 05: Trek to Tarakot (2537 meters)
Day 07: Trek to Mushi Khola (2875 meters)
Day 09: Trek to Ragkot (about 3600 meters)
Day 10: Acclimatization day at Ragkot (3600 meters)
Day 11: Trek to Pangzi (4480 meters)
Day 12: Acclimatization day at Pangzi Camp (4480 meters)
Day 13: Trek to Putha Hiunchuli Base Camp (4950 meters)
Day 14/24: Climbing period of Putha Hiunchuli 7246 meters)
Day 25: Trek back to Pangzi Camp.
Day 26: Trek back to Ragkot.
Day 27: Trek back to Mushi Khola
Day 28: Trek back to Tarakot
Day 29: Trek back to Dunai
Day 30: Flight Dunai – Nepalganj-Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
Day 31: Free day at Kathmandu.
Day 32: Departure.
