Mohare Danda Khopra Trek trail is popularly known as Annapurna Dhaulagiri Community Eco Lodge trek takes you to Mohare Danda (3300m),  Khopra Danda and Khayer Lake Trek. It is an recently promoted community based Eco-trail trek, to take away from the other crowded trekking route  of Annapurna region. However, Mohare Danda Khopra Trek gives you the amazing  panoramic views on the massive Himalayas including Mount Dhaulagiri 8167m, Annapurna South 7219m, Machhapuchchhre (fishtail) 6997m, Nilgiri 6940m, Annapurna I 8091m and numerous other snow-topped mountains and Peaks.

Another attraction of this trek is the blessed out of Khair Barah (Khayer Temple) basically known as Hindu Temple. Which requires a little closer to the high altitude of 4600 meters from the sea level. But it isn’t necessity to go Khayar Lake to complete this trek, means possibility to skip Khair Lake and Khyar Barah from Khopra Danda. This trek is suitable for each enthusiastic trekker.  As the most part of this trail are  significantly cover with lush thick pine, oak, rhododendron and bamboo forest.

The beautiful trekking passes through the some traditional villages with some indigenous group of Magar, Gurung, Kami, Damai, Chetri and Brahmin’s displaying its perfectly terraced and cultivated landscapes.

In other hand, Mohare Danda Khopra Trek is also well-known for village tourism trail, and the trekkers will have opportunity to have a part of their family in the local home-stay, community lodge and tea-houses. The trekking trail being promoted and developed by the local Community to financially support the people of these areas from tourism. Some profits community lodges and home-stay goes to the social support, specially use for schools of this areas.

There are numerous alternatives options of itineraries for this trek. Most of the trekkers can incorporate with Myagdi Tatopani (hot spring) on their itinerary to take a hot bath on the natural hot spring yet after Kopra there is selective route to end the trek via Tadapani and Ghandruk for those who are not willing to go to Tatopani (Hot spring).

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu. (1335 meters).
Day 02: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara. (900m).
Day 04: Drive Pokhara Beni – Trek to Banskharka (1526m).
Day 05: Trek  to Nangi (2320m.
Day 06: Trek  to Mohare Danda (3261m).
Day 07: Trek  to Dadakharka (2,850m).
Day 08: Trek  to Tikot (2300m).
Day 09: Trek  to Swanta (2195m).
Day 10: Trek  to Upper Chistibung (2990m).
Day 11: Trek  to Khopra (3650m).

Detail Itinerary

Day 01
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu. (1335 meters).
A representative from Visit Himalaya Treks with the company’s display board will greet you outside the arrival terminal and transfer you to your Hotel. (Overnight at Hotel).
Day 02
Day 02: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation.
A half day guided tour to several historical and spiritual attractions enlisted under the World Heritage Sites. The trek leader will meet the group for a meeting and provide a detailed briefing on the trek. All the required information regarding the trek would be provided. (Overnight at Hotel. Breakfast included).
Day 03
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara. (900m).
We drive to Pokhara through Prithivi Highway on a private car. Pokhara is the lake city of the country and is less polluted and crowded compared to Kathmandu. Views of Annapurna range and the dominating figure of Machapuchhre (also known as Fishtail) (6997 meters) dominates both the sky and the beautiful Phewa Lake with its reflection in it. The afternoon can be enjoyed by the lake as the hotel is located near to the lake. (5-6 hours’ drive) (Overnight at Hotel. Breakfast included).
Day 04
Day 04: Pokhara Beni – Trek to Banskharka (1526m).
After breakfast drive to Beni from Pokhara which will takes about 4 hours by private car in normal road condition and Approximately 3 hours trek through the beautiful Magar village to Banskharka and overnight at the community lodge. Accommodation, breakfast, Lunch, dinner included).
Day 05
Day 05: Trek to Nangi (2320m.
After breakfast trek continues to Nagi approximately which may take 5 to 6 hours with an excellent view of mountain and village down below. Overnight at Community the Lodge. Accommodation, breakfast, Lunch, dinner included).
Day 06
Day 06: Trek to Mohare Danda (3261m).
Mohore danda is one of the beautiful places of this trek where you can find the real panoramic view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain. After breakfast, approximately 5 hours trek to Mohare Danda overnight at Community lodge. (Accommodation, breakfast, Lunch, dinner included).
Day 07
Day 07: Trek to Dadakharka (2,850m).
After breakfast trek to Dadakharkha (2850m) approximately 5 hours spectacular views of the Dhaulagiri from along the route overnight at Community Lodge. (Accommodation, breakfast, Lunch, dinner included).
Day 08
Day 08: Trek to Tikot (2300m).
Trekking trail descends to another huge and beautiful settlement of ethnic group Magar. The huge settlement of Magar community is to interest exploration around and see their daily activities. We may see their cultural dance and sing in the evening. This is in the case of having a big amount of tourist on the day. Have a local meal prepared by localhost and overnight. (Accommodation, breakfast, Lunch, dinner included).
Day 09
Day 09: Trek to Swanta (2195m).
The trail passes through the beautiful terrace lands and fields with delightful small villages. With the fabulous views of Annapurna south and other snowcapped mountains, you reach Swanta, a green village. It is a perfect place to rest before trekking towards Khopra. It may take Approximately 5 hours overnight at community Lodge. (Accommodation, breakfast, Lunch, dinner included).
Day 10
Day 10: Trek Swanta to Upper Chistibung (2990m).
Today, the trail ascends and climbs above the tree line through meadows and pasture to admire Khopra. Without any doubt, we admire the impressive view of the tip of Annapurna South from Khopra. After breakfast trek approximately 4 hours to Upper Chistibung (2990m) overnight at community Lodge. (Accommodation, breakfast, Lunch, dinner included).
Day 11
Day 11: Trek to Khopra (3650m).
After breakfast Trek to Khopra. Approximately 7 hours. One of the great day spectacular views of Dhaulagiri (8167m) (Annapurna South (7219m) Annapurna Fang (7647m) Nilgiri south (6839m).We will spend the night highest point of the trek 3650m overnight at Community lodge. (Accommodation, breakfast, Lunch, dinner included).
Day 12
Day 12: Exploration day at Khopra.
After breakfast hike the direction of Mount Annapurna sough for the great views of Himalayan peaks. Spectacular views of Fishtail 6997m (Machhapuchhre), Huinchuli (6434m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna Fang (7647m), Nilgiri South (6839m) on the north and Dhaulagiri (8167m), Tukuche peak (6920m), Dhampus Peak (6012m) in west, gradually brightens, providing one of the best panoramic views of these two mountain ranges. Overnight at Khopra (3650m). (Accommodation, breakfast, Lunch, dinner included).
Day 13
Day 13: Trek to Bayali Kharka (3420m).
After breakfast trek continues to Bayali Kharka (3450m) Super views of Annapurna South, Himchuli and Fishtail. Approximately 7 hours overnight at lodge. (Accommodation, breakfast, Lunch, dinner included).
Day 14
Day 14: Trek Bayali Kharka to Tadapani (2,59m).
After breakfast trek continues to Tadapani (2590m) where we will joint Popular Ghorepani Poon hill trek’s trail overnight at Lodge approximately 6 hours. (Accommodation, breakfast, Lunch, dinner included).
Day 15
Day 15: Trek Tadapani to Ghandruk ‎(1,940m).
The day starts with a descent through the jungles passing through a couple of teashops at Bhaisi Kharka and continues to drop steeply to the famous Gurung village of Ghandruk. Ghandruk is one of the ideal village located altitude of 1940 meters from the sea level lap of the Annapurna South. After lunch visit, local village and Gurung Museum stay overnight at Ghandruk. (3 hours Trek) (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included).
Day 16
Day 16: Ghandruk to Pokhara.
After Breakfast easy step descends continually lead us to Kimche about 1 hour. We will meet our land transport at Kimche and derive to Pokhara via Birethanti and Nayapul. About 2 and half hours’ drive finally take us to the Lake City of Pokhara. Late afternoon visit around Fewa Lake, stay overnight at Pokhara Hotel. (Breakfast included)
Day 17
Day 17: Pokhara to Kathmandu.
After breakfast flight to Kathmandu approximately 30m transfer to Hotel afternoon free at Kathmandu Hotel (breakfast included).
Day 18
Day 18: Departure.
A representative from Visit Himalaya Treks Pvt. Ltd. will check your flight tickets and transfer you to the airport before two hours from your flight with a hope of seeing you again in the future.

  • Arrivals and departure transport by car (We will collect you from the Kathmandu international airport) and transfer to Hotel.
  • Half day sightseeing in Pokhara and necessary transport.
