Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek – The Rolwaling Valley has the Langtang Valley to its west and the Everest region to its east. This trek starts at the edge of the Gaurishankar Conservation Area, northeast of Kathmandu, crosses the very high TashiLapcha Pass (5750m) and ends in Lukla, It’s the best of both worlds as you’ll get to experience the remote and lesser-visited area of Rolwaling, yet also visit the incredible and popular Khumbu Valley.

Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek goes into beautiful and under-visited Gaurishankar Conservation Area, passes through Ramdung Glacier and Tsho Rolpa Lake (4580m), one of the biggest glacial lakes in Nepal and crosses the incredible, snowy and technicalTashi Lapcha Pass making the trek a real challenging trek. Stunning views of Gaurishankar (7134m), Everest (8848m) and Makalu (8485m) can be enjoyed in this trek. The trek is only recommended for experienced trekkers who have done high-altitude hikes before and are very fit.  The first part of the trek is more remote, quiet and wild but once you have descended down into Thame in the Khumbu Valley and onto the main Everest Base Camp route, the trek and the route becomes more busy and crowded and provides you an experience of both types of trekking in Nepal.
